What you can bet on
Football carries the most markets, from the major European leagues to Asian competitions and international tournaments. Around it sit the sports Southeast Asian bettors follow most closely:
- Basketball: league and international games, with handicap and points-total markets.
- Table tennis: fast matches that suit in-play betting.
- Motorsport: race-winner and head-to-head markets.
- Cricket: franchise leagues and internationals.
- Esports: the major competitive titles, with match and map markets.
Pre-match and in-play
Pre-match betting gives you time: study the form, compare prices and place the bet before kick-off. In-play betting is faster. Odds move with every attack, card and substitution, and markets such as next goal or the total for the rest of the match only exist once the game has started.
Popular football markets include the match result, Asian Handicap and Over/Under goals, and in-play markets such as next goalscorer. Asian Handicap is worth learning if you are new: it gives the weaker team a head start in goals, which turns a lopsided match into a closer price.
Building a bet from one match
Bet Builder lets you combine several selections from the same match into one bet, for example a team to win, over 2.5 goals and a player to score. It needs at least two selections, and every one of them has to win. The Sports Betting T&Cs explain how void or cancelled selections are settled.
Betting with a plan
Set a weekly budget before the weekend fixtures start, and keep stakes to a small share of it so one result cannot wipe it out. Avoid chasing losses on late games. A smaller number of considered bets usually lasts longer than a slip full of long shots. If a match is still running and you want out, check whether your bet is offered for cash-out before you decide.
Questions
Can I bet while a match is being played?
Yes. In-play markets stay open during the match, with odds that update as the game develops. Markets can be suspended briefly after big moments such as goals.
What happens if a match is postponed?
Settlement for postponed and abandoned events follows the Sports Betting T&Cs. In most cases a bet on an event that does not start within the stated window is void.
Is there a welcome offer for sports?
Yes. New players in Singapore can claim 150% up to SGD 500 on a first deposit of SGD 30 or more, if they choose the sports offer as their one welcome offer.
